Embrace Change

Published by: Addison-Wesley Professional (2002)
ISBN: 0-201-61641-6 (1st edition)
ISBN: 0-321-27865-8 (2nd edition)
By: Kent Beck

This book is the one that kick-started the eXtreme Programming movement. The first edition described a recipe consisting of twelve practices backed by principles and values. The second edition focuses more on the values and principles and breaks the practices into a primary set and a corollary set which should only be attempted after the primary practices are mastered. Among the practices both editions describe are Pair Programming and test-driven development.
